Description:

The 17-OH Hydroxyprogesterone (17-OHP) test measures the level of 17-hydroxyprogesterone, a steroid hormone produced by the adrenal glands and, to a lesser extent, by the ovaries and testes.

Purpose of the Test:
To check for a genetic condition called Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia (CAH), which affects hormone production.
To investigate abnormal hormone levels
